Abstract

The incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education responds to the need to adapt educational methodologies to a constantly evolving digital environment. This research aims to analyze how AI can be ethically and effectively integrated into university teaching, identifying both its benefits and challenges. Through a comprehensive literature review and case study analysis, several opportunities offered by AI were identified, such as personalized learning, immediate feedback, and prediction of student performance. However, significant challenges also arise, such as data privacy and possible over-reliance on technology. It is concluded that, if properly implemented, AI can foster educational innovation and prepare students to face contemporary challenges. It is essential to establish policies that promote equity and inclusion in the use of these technologies.
